Description
Spring wheat is sown in long straight rows in these high altitude rolling hills of southeastern Washington State. The early sprouts are bright green and genetically programmed to turn light, water, and earth into food...it takes time and lots of work.
This photograph was made just after sunrise, looking nearly due East. The wide angle lens and camera are on a tripod set close to the ground. The aperture was set very narrow to allow sharp focus from within inches of the lens out to the horizon. I like the seemingly divergent lines in this image. Because they don't lead to the same point, the overall effect is to keep your eye moving around the scene.
